Day 01: Arrival in Cochin (Kochi)

On arrival at Cochin Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Cochin, fondly known as the Queen of the Arabian Sea. Blessed with one of the finest natural harbors in the world, Cochin was once a thriving center of trade and commerce with the British, Chinese, Portuguese, and Dutch.

Your tour will cover key attractions such as:

  • Dutch Palace (Mattancherry Palace) – renowned for its exquisite murals.

  • Jewish Synagogue – a 16th-century heritage site adorned with rare artifacts.

  • Jewish Street – famous for its antique shops and vibrant charm.

  • St. Francis Church – the oldest European church in India.

  • Chinese Fishing Nets – iconic cantilevered nets that reflect Kochi’s unique maritime legacy.

After sightseeing, return to your hotel for an Overnight stay in Cochin.

Day 01: Arrival in Cochin (Kochi)

Day 02: Cochin – Munnar {139 Kms & 4 Hrs}

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your scenic drive to Munnar, one of South India’s most beautiful hill stations, located about 1,600 meters above sea level. As the road winds through the Western Ghats, witness the breathtaking beauty of the landscape—cascading waterfalls, lush green valleys, spice plantations, and endless stretches of tea gardens that paint the hillsides.

On arrival in Munnar, check in at your hotel and take some time to relax. The cool mountain breeze, mist-covered hills, and serene atmosphere make it a perfect retreat from the bustle of city life.

The evening is at leisure—you may stroll through the local markets, enjoy a leisure walk amid tea estates, or simply unwind at your hotel.

Day 02: Cochin – Munnar {139 Kms & 4 Hrs}

Day 03: Munnar Sightseeing

After breakfast, set out to explore the beauty of Munnar, a hill station located at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level, at the confluence of three mountain streams – Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundale. Once the summer resort of the British in South India, Munnar is today renowned for its rolling tea gardens, misty hills, and cool climate.

Your sightseeing tour includes visits to:

  • Mattupetty Dam – a popular spot offering boating and scenic views.

  • Kundale Lake – a tranquil lake surrounded by lush greenery.

  • Echo Point – famous for its natural echo phenomenon and serene beauty.

In the afternoon, proceed to Rajamalai (Eravikulam National Park), home to the rare and endangered mountain goat, the Nilgiri Tahr. Stroll through the park’s scenic trails and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding hills.

Day 03: Munnar Sightseeing

Day 04: Munnar – Thekkady {99 Kms & 4 Hrs}

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady, a picturesque destination known for its dense forests, wildlife, and spice plantations. The journey itself is a treat as you pass through winding roads, mist-covered hills, and lush plantations of tea, coffee, and spices.

On arrival in Thekkady, check in at your hotel and relax. Later in the evening, you may opt to visit a spice plantation to witness how cardamom, pepper, vanilla, and other aromatic spices are cultivated.

Thekkady is also famous for traditional cultural shows—you may choose to enjoy a Kathakali dance performance or a Kalaripayattu (martial arts) show as an optional activity.

Day 04: Munnar – Thekkady {99 Kms & 4 Hrs}

Day 05: Thekkady Sightseeing

After breakfast, set out for a sightseeing tour of Thekkady, home to one of the world’s most captivating wildlife reserves. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, spread across 777 sq. km (with 360 sq. km of dense evergreen forest), is renowned for its unique landscape, rich biodiversity, and breathtaking natural beauty. Declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978, Periyar offers travelers a rare opportunity to experience wilderness at its best.

Optional activities (on direct payment) include:

  • Boating on Periyar Lake – enjoy a scenic boat ride where you may spot elephants, bison, and other wildlife along the lake’s edge.

  • Spice Plantation Visit – explore aromatic spice gardens and learn about cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, and more.

  • Elephant Ride & Interaction – a unique opportunity to get close to these gentle giants.

After the day’s experiences, return to your hotel for an Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 05: Thekkady Sightseeing

Day 06: Thekkady – Kumarakom {115Kms & 3.1/2 Hrs}

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Kumarakom, a serene backwater destination set on the banks of Vembanad Lake, the largest lake in Kerala. On arrival, check in at your hotel and relax.

The rest of the day is free at leisure. You may simply unwind at the resort, enjoy the tranquil surroundings, or take a leisurely walk along the lake. Kumarakom is also famous for its bird sanctuary, where migratory species like Siberian storks and egrets can be spotted (optional visit).

Day 06: Thekkady – Kumarakom {115Kms & 3.1/2 Hrs}

Day 07: Kumarakom Sightseeing

Early in the morning (around 6:00 AM), proceed for a visit to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, a haven for bird watchers where you can spot a variety of migratory species such as Siberian storks, herons, darters, and kingfishers amidst tranquil surroundings.

Return to the hotel for breakfast, after which you will explore the charming village of Kumarakom—a picturesque backwater hamlet nestled on the western banks of the vast Vembanad Lake, which stretches across 900 sq. km.

Here, you can choose to cruise through the serene backwaters on a canoe, motorboat, or traditional houseboat, gliding past lush paddy fields, swaying coconut palms, and rustic village life. This is the best way to experience the untouched beauty and unique charm of Kerala’s backwater paradise.

Spend the evening at leisure, perhaps enjoying the calm lakeside ambiance or indulging in an Ayurvedic spa treatment at your resort (optional).

Day 07: Kumarakom Sightseeing

Day 08: Kumarakom – Alleppey {35 Kms & 1 Hrs}

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey (Alappuzha), famously known as the Venice of the East. On arrival, board your traditional Kerala houseboat at 1:00 PM for an enchanting overnight cruise through the backwaters.
